A small charity with a practical approach

Ready Nepal is a small charity started from a shared connection to Nepal and a belief that lasting change comes from listening to,  understanding and working alongside those we wish to support.

We’re currently working to develop practical, locally led programmes that will support returnee migrant workers and vulnerable communities. Our approach is shaped by the knowledge, experiences and perspectives of the people closest to these challenges, ensuring that our work remains relevant, respectful and responsive to real needs.

Our vision

A resilient Nepal where individuals and communities are prepared for future challenges and have the opportunity to build sustainable futures.

Our aim

We aim to help build a more resilient and prepared Nepal by working alongside local organisations and communities to develop practical solutions to real challenges. Through locally shaped programmes and trusted partnerships, we aim to support returnee migrant workers and vulnerable communities to strengthen their financial resilience, wellbeing and livelihood opportunities. By helping people rebuild their lives with dignity, we hope to contribute to stronger communities that are better prepared for the future. Click here to learn more about labour migration in Nepal.

Our approach

We believe lasting impact comes from working with people, not simply for them.Ready Nepal will bring together Ready Nepal Foundation in the United Kingdom and Ready Nepal Organisation in Nepal, currently being established, working as one team with a shared vision, mission and values.

Our programmes will be developed and delivered through Ready Nepal Organisation, once established, working alongside trusted local partners, community members and people with lived experience who understand the context, culture and realities of being a Nepali migrant worker. By combining local leadership with a practical approach, we want to create programmes that are responsive, sustainable and shaped by the people they are designed to support.

Why we’re planning to remain small: It will allow us to stay close to communities, adapt quickly and focus our resources where they can make the greatest difference.

We are a small organisation, and we intend to remain so. Staying small allows us to remain human, stay connected to the communities we work with and make thoughtful decisions without unnecessary layers of complexity. While we are committed to strong governance and accountability, we want our time, energy and resources to remain focused primarily on the people and communities we aim to support.
